Hello Terrena, thanks for the video. Can I get the file file for practice please?
Yes, just email me and I'll send it 😊 btminternational@gmail.com
Love the video. Do you mind sharing what software you used to create the Chart? I am looking to make a chart similar to the style in your video
Hi Donna, I used Smart Art inside PowerPoint (or Word) to make the WBS. Select the hierarchy option, then edit. Let me know if you're not sure how and I'll send a quick video. Email: btminternational@gmail.com
Gracias
De nada 😊
This was very useful nudge to ensure I consider a process v. product WBS. Thank you so much.

Hi, yes, just send me an email and I'll reply, btminternational@gmail.com 😊
In which knowledge area comes safety management?
Hi Aja, it will come in under two areas mainly. The first is the Risk knowledge area, as you need to identify, analyse and come up with treatments/controls for safety hazards/risks in addition to general project risks. Also, under the Quality area, as there may be specific safety compliance requirements aligned to legislation and standards (eg. if a project involves catering/food, in Australia we need to abide by the Food Safety Act 2006). Sometimes, safety compliance may also appear under Scope, to do with project constraints. I hope that helps 😊
@@thooper1000 Thanks for your reply. Regards.

Woo hoo!!!! 🤩🤩😍😍 Thanks for letting me know, and I hope you find the videos helpful! 😊🎉
Thank you
Most welcome 😊
how do I reference this video
Hi Naleni, follow your Uni/College's instructions and reference guide for the style (eg. APA, Harvard...), but it will be something like this: Hooper, T (2020) Project Management PMBoK Knowledge Areas. RUclips [Online Video]. Available from: web address [Accessed date]. The content comes from Schwalbe's 2019 textbook, shown at the beginning, so better would be to access the book (eg. your school's online library) and reference that, as it's more academic. Hope that helps.
WELL EXPLAINED THANK U I AM WRITING EXAMS TOMORROW 🙃 🙂

@@thooper1000 yeah ! I did, thank you 💯😊
Hey just wanted to to know will they provide us with a case study with all this information
If you're studying at Uni/College it depends. Often they give you a basic case study with a brief overview of the project (eg. budget, deadline/timeframe, objectives) and you need to figure out most things. You should always start with the deliverables and work breakdown structure, as it makes it easier to figure other things out (like the schedule and milestones). I have provided other videos on the project lifecycle, creating a work breakdown structure etc, you may find them helpful.
this is brilliant!!! thanks for explaining it in a very simple way . thank you again!

Hi Sumerah, email me and I'll send it over to you: btminternational@gmail.com
Great work !
Thanks Konrad!
By work item do you mean work package
Hi Ajike, a work item or item of work could mean a deliverable, work package or an individual task/activity, depending on what I was discussing at the time of the video (most likely a work package or task/activity). Consider it as something that needs to be done on the project, so if the same thing (deliverable, work package or task/activity) appears twice on the WBS, it may get done twice, or if its completely missing, it won't get done at all. Does that help?
Yes it's does. Thanks for the explanation. I'm preparing for CAPM at the moment and your video came helpful.
Thank U very much
You're most welcome 😊
Can you please put the MS-Word file here to be downloaded. Thankss. I find it very helpful.
It actually comes from a PM textbook by Stephen Hartley, I'll see if I can track it down again, I filmed this a few years ago...

How to store the WBS element creation into our local system folder, can you please explain
You can store it as a file or image. For example, the one in the video was built in PowerPoint using SmartArt. You could snip it (Windows + Shift + S on keyboard), paste into MS Paint or PhotoShop and save it as a jpeg image. Otherwise I paste the WBS directly into the project plan or scope management plan (MS Word file) or build it in MS Word using SmartArt. Does that help with your question?
do you offer tutoring ?
Hi Monica, not outside of my usual Uni work, but if you have a specific question you can email me or set up a quick Zoom. btminternational@gmail.com
